LENTEN WORSHIP SERIES, Wild Goose Chase

"The Adventures of Pursuing God" will be our topic throughout the upcoming Lenten season.  Lent is traditionally a time for re-examination of our heart and motives - particularly as that relates to our faith and connection to God.

"The Wild Goose" was the Celtic Christian's name for the Holy Spirit.  He IS mysterious and, like a wild goose, cannot be tracked or tamed.  Sometimes it may seem like a "wild goose chase" when we pursue God's Spirit, but it is definitely an adventure because you don't know where it will leade you.

Beginning with an introduction on Ash Wednesday, February 17th, and continuing for the 6 Sundays of Lent, we will talk about ways in which we are confined in our faith and sometimes afraid or unwilling to pursue God's Spirit  The 6 cages are the ways in which we struggle (not all of them at once!) to follow or connect with God's purpose and His plan for NHis People and His church.

THEN CAME THE MORNING EASTER MUSICAL, Sunday, April 11, 2010

This powerful musical celebrates the hope that was brought to us as Jesus rose to life that glorious Easter morning long ago.  We are reminded that whatever the need, whatever the heartache, Jesus is the only one who can touch and change a life completely.  Once that happens, you'll want to join with all who have been changed by His love and mercy to sing His praises and tell Him how much you love Him.

The Living Word singers will perform during both services, 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.  Please join us!
